Key West: June 28

After passing out around 8 pm last night, Debbie was up at 4:30. The cats let me sleep another hour before deciding it was family time.

The morning began with an hour long jog and then a discussion about how come we are wiped out and shit. We drank WATER then shrink wrapped yesterday’s fish and decided we would shower and go into town to shop.

I needed new flip flops and these fit the bill perfectly.

Then we rode bikes past the airport and stopped in in search of Bahamas immigration cards. Our Customs could not even tell us if we needed to test for Covid on the way back home! They said we should check with the CDC. So if we are boarded by the CDC, I will feel okay.

Once in Key West, we headed for the Galleon and had a few beers with our bartender friend. Then off to Publix for some provisions.

After a 15 mile ride, we tried to get the cats to join us in the flybridge for a beer  but it is apparently too hot if you are wearing a fur coat. So we made dinner of grilled m island style mahi and paradise rice. We set off the smoke alarm again but the cats seem to think it is like a dinner bell since we do it so often.

Debbie has been watching the weather and the winds are howling on our projected departure day. But then again, the weather people didn’t even get TODAY’S forecast right so we are not freaking yet. At least I am not freaking yet.
