Key West: June 27

 Debbie was up before her 5:30 am alarm.  Today was a fishing day! We were off the dock by 6:30 because Keys fish are early risers!

On our way out, a pilot boat radioed that a boatload of refugees landed at Fort Zachery and were running for the woods… we are told these are Ukrainian refugees who fly to Cuba and then risk their lives to get to the US.

Our first hit was at 9 am in 720 feet of water. I chased some birds and we got a nice mahi. Then we trolled and bitched at each other for a few hours before heading in. On the way in we found another weed line and another decent mahi. 

We cleaned everything up and headed to the pool. They also made us dinner so we are down for the count! Happy Monday!
