Key West: June 17

 

True to his word, Dennis took us out fishing on his 34’ Yellowfin today. We came across a weed line in about 300 feet and it had a giant bamboo pole in it. So Dennis caught that. 

We had to let it go though because we weren’t sure of the catch limit on bamboo.  

Then we found a few more weed lines and we found some decent mahi.

Debbie and Dennis shagged weed while I drove around looking for weed to hook them up on.

At the cleaning stand, Dennis hand fed the scraps to the giant tarpon and nurse sharks in the harbor.  

After spending the day with Dennis, we have a lot of respect for his wife Rachel’s high pain tolerance.

We had a fabulous day. I almost feel guilty for calling our host a dumb ass. A few times.
