Day Three: On Our Way!
After a good night’s sleep, we departed Beaufort, North Carolina, at 7 am. The cats didn’t appear phased as they went through their routines of eating, playing, sleeping, playing, etc. Debbie drove most of the day except for periodic engine room checks. We saw some interesting sites including a pontoon duck hunting boat.
And later we saw a sign outside of the Marine base that said to wait if flashing because of live fire. Like driving in south Florida!
We traveled 84 miles in about 9 hours including waiting for bridges. Slow, but the fuel gauge hasn’t moved!
My biggest complaint thus far are the tiny, ice cold toilet seats. It is a rude awakening in the middle of the night. I am jealous of the cats’ furry butts.
Tonight we are in Wrightsville Beach. Tomorrow we will travel 89 miles to Myrtle Beach if everything goes according to plan.
Stay tuned!
Ok, now we know what to get you guys, heated toilet seats!!! Sounds like a good day of travel!
